Find France in Wagga Wagga
The Alliance Francaise de Wagga Wagga hold events every month throughout the year. Our events include a simple catch up over a glass of wine through to people sharing their photos and experiences during trips to France (and other European Countries), French movies (with English Subtitles), as well as French Food and Cultural happenings.
You are also welcome to come along to French Conversation (held on the first Friday of each month and 3rd Saturday of every Month). Even if you don’t speak French, listening is such an advantage! (Conversation in English occurs as well). We encourage French speakers of all levels to attend as our teachers and fellow French speakers are more than happy to help with pronunciation and grammar.

Coming Events
End-of-year event – 5 December
Our French-themed festive Christmas finale to 2026 will be in the form of a goûter et apéro dinatoire champétre.
In other words: come ready to enjoy a relaxed French themed afternoon of food, wine and activities in an Aussie bucolic setting! Enjoy a welcome glass of bubbles, Christmas crafts, pétanque, sweet and savoury grazing platters, tea, coffee and other drinks, plus the pièce de résistance: a traditional French Bûche de Noël!
Another highlight will be the launch of our 2027 celebrations marking our 55th anniversary as your corner of Francophonie in Wagga and surrounds. You’ll also have the opportunity to browse and purchase second-hand French reference books and novels, along with brand-new French-themed Christmas decorations and homewares. priced between $5 and $20. Eftpos facilities will be available but please bring cash if you prefer. All proceeds will go towards our special anniversary events in 2027.

Final conversation dates for 2026
We will still be meeting on Friday 6 November and Saturday 21 November. For those who have regularly enjoyed coming along to our monthly Friday night Conversation sessions, please note that there will be NO Conversation on Friday 4 December in light of our End-of-year event the following day.
For our Saturday Conversation attendees, our last one will be on Saturday, 19 December. Come along to say ‘merci’ to Mustapha for his hospitality. In 2027, our Conversation sessions will resume on Friday, 5 February with our Crepe evening to celebrate La Chandeleur.
Say Cheese Photo Competition

Say Cheese! is a photography contest open to everyone across Australia, brought to you by the Alliance Française network to mark the Bicentenary of Photography. No theme, no rules of subject — just your eye, your light and your story.
The competition is now closed. Winners will be announced in late 2026
